Tina R my RN was amazing she went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and ok she truly is the definition of seeing someone working who actually loves there job and not just working for a paycheck it was truly a blessing to have her as my RN and I hope she can bless many more with her presence as she did for me plus just overall a great hospital with great staff!!!!!

Siu doctor Vincent talkott is an horrible doctor hes not compassionate he acts arrogant and acts like he dont care. Plus he rushes you when you try to tell him only a couple issues your having he cuts you off when your trying to explain something to him thats going on with you. My name is Antonio Lugo Santiago. I very very highly recommend anyone thinking about going to become an patient at siu dont get Vincent talkott. Hes ignoring my moms issues with her medications. The nurse had just called my mom not very many minutes ago today on 12/8/25. My mom was treated like she dont know her own body with what the medications shes been on for very long time is now causing. Im not very happy at all. Im very angry. Something bad or worse BETTER NOT HAPPEN TO MY MOM DOCTOR TALKOTT. Not talking about receptionists. I know your the reason nothing has been done about my moms medications.

My doctor/SIU women’s health center in Decatur is not listed as a location/is not shown on the map at 441 W. Hay, so I’ll write my review here: Dr. Calvin Monroe is the first doctor to not be judgmental towards me about requesting permanent sterilization. Unlike other doctors I’ve seen, Dr. Monroe didn’t laugh at or belittle me, but listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. He has a calm demeanor which helped my anxiety before the procedure. He performed a laparoscopic bilateral salpingectomy this morning and as of right now, I am having some mild cramping at the worst. I wish more doctors listened to their patients like Dr Monroe.

I called the SIU Family Medicine office in Decatur on Thursday 5/15/25 for a prescription refill. Kim was who answered I asked that a note be sent to Dr. Norton’s nurse that I was out of refills for my allergy medicine; i spelled it out and gave her the RX#. My pharmacist said that I needed to contact my doctor to get it approved. Here it is 3 business days later and I still haven’t heard anything. So I contacted the doctors office again and found out that a note was never put in for my Doctor and nurse. I’m glad I wasn’t someone with a life threatening medication refill. This is very unprofessional and she is obviously incapable of doing her job.

I had a great experience my whole almost 10 months of my pregnancy, but when my baby started being seen here it’s like they flipped a switch. My first visit I got questioned about being a first time mom, also was told they “may not have enough” rsv tests to test my son after I had to ask for him to be tested. My son had a rash numerous of these Drs couldn’t figure out and the first time we see his new Dr we get the correct diagnosis, after being told you guys won’t refer me to a dermatologist because it’s “improper”. No need to have me share my experience with your team as I already did, this is just for others to see. Thank you
